Wayne CodlingWayne Codling has been a student of Zen Buddhism since before his parents were born and is a lineage holder in the Soto Zen tradition of Shunryu Suzuki-roshi. In his current lifetime he has been a monk and practiced meditation for over thirty years. He teaches meditation to individuals and groups in Victoria, BC, Canada, and founded Middle Way Solutions, a consulting business that promotes meditation in the workplace and other non-traditional venues. Wayne works with incarcerated youth, high stress work situations, elite athletes seeking performance enhancement as well as the general public.

 

Michael Picard trained in mathematical logic and analytic philosophy, and earned a Ph.D. from MIT. Author of This is Not a Book (2007), he currently teaches psychology and offers philosophical counseling, but has taught widely in sustainable management, leadership, logic, ethics, and Eastern as well as Western philosophy. Michael is an old student of S.N. Goenka’s Vipassana. For twelve years he has moderated Café Philosophy, participatory philosophy dialogues held weekly at Solstice Café in Victoria, BC, Canada.
